Free The Sea is an ocean conservation charity based in Switzerland and Indonesia on a mission to prove that boring (waste management) solutions can change the world.

They connect households in Batam, Indonesia to waste management solutions, stopping plastic pollution at source and preventing it from ever reaching the sea. They give collected plastic new life by recycling what they can, or disposing responsibly so when plastic leaves the home it goes straight into the waste flow – and not into the sea.
